Assistant Professor Pierre De Leo joined the Department of Economics in Fall 2019. His areas of interest include international macroeconomics and finance. His research focuses on the importance of expectations for the empirical identification of economic and policy shocks, the nature of exchange rate fluctuations, and the optimal conduct of monetary and exchange rate policy. He holds a PhD and MA in Economics from Boston College and a BA and MA in Economics with highest honors from University of Milan - Bicocca.
