In the latest ranking of best colleges by U.S. News, the Economics Department of the University of Maryland is ranked number 22 among the top universities nationwide. At the university level, UMD secured its position as a top 20 public university in the country. Its overall ranking is number 46 among all U.S. universities, nine spots higher than previously.
