The Graduate Faculty Mentor of the Year Award recognizes faculty members who have made exceptional contributions to a student’s (or students’) graduate experience. This Award serves the dual purposes of recognizing outstanding mentoring provided by individual faculty and of reminding the university community of the importance of mentoring to graduate studies.  Pierre De Leo was among 33 nominees out of over 1500 tenured/tenure track professors, which is a great achievement for an assistant professor.
