UMD Economics Department Welcomes Two New Assistant Professors

The UMD Economics Department is thrilled to welcome our new Assistant Professors, Daniel Agness and William Witheridge, to the department.

Daniel Agness obtained his PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics at UC Berkeley. His research focuses on urbanization, agricultural transformation, and social networks in East Africa.

William Witheridge obtained his PhD in Economics at NYU. His research focuses on Macroeconomics, International Finance, Monetary Economics.
