Our department's Master of Professional Studies Program in Applied Economics has expanded to the main campus in College Park this fall. The professional master's program has been operating in downtown Washington, DC since 2012, and now offers evening courses in both locations. The Washington, DC classes meet near DuPont Circle. Both locations offer identical curriculum, training students for jobs in economic policy analysis.
The inaugural cohort in the College Park version of our professional master's program has 24 students, with 14 international students from 6 different countries, including a Fulbright scholar from Bulgaria, a USAID-sponsored student from Kosovo and half-a-dozen students from China.
International students on our main campus in College Park enjoy easy access to downtown Washington, DC by Metro or car. They also benefit from the vibrant College Park campus community with more than 40,000 students. About one-third of the campus’ roughly 10,000 graduate students come from outside the United States, with more than 130 different countries represented.
