Shunjie is a job market candidate from the University of Maryland. His research interest lies in microeconomic theory and market design, with a focus of applying theory to practical problems. In his job market paper, he uses an asymmetric all-pay contest model to evaluate the effects of a merger on the R&D investment of competing firms, an antitrust issue that has not been well studied before.
