Shunjie is a job market candidate from the University of Maryland. His research interest lies in the broad field of the interaction of institutions and economic behaviors. His graduate research focuses on microeconomic theory and market design, with a focus of applying theory to practical problems. In his job market paper, he uses an asymmetric all-pay contest model to evaluate the effects of a merger on the R&D investment of competing firms, an antitrust issue that has not been well studied before.
