We're happy to announce that Victoria Perez-Zetune, one of our first year PhD students, has been awarded the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. This is a three-year fellowship that provides an annual stipend of $34,000 plus up to $12,000 in support for tuition and fees.
The NSF GRFP is one of the most competitive and sought-after awards available to domestic Ph.D. students. Students can apply once prior to beginning graduate school and once after beginning graduate studies (in the first or second year). Domestic students currently in the first year who didn't apply this year should strongly consider applying next fall. The college and campus offer workshops to help students applying for an NSF, and faculty can help you preparing your application as well.
Congratulations to Victoria and to her main faculty advisor, Professor Jessica Goldberg!
