Biography
Erkut Y. Ozbay received his PhD in economics from NYU in 2007 and the same year, he became an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland. His research interests are game theory and experimental economics. His research mainly focuses on understanding how economic agents make decisions when they face with different types of uncertainty and how their behavior is affected by their experience, concerns, and the change of their understanding of economic problem they are facing. In recent research, he introduces an equilibrium concept for games where unawareness is an issue. Before joining the faculty, he worked in the Center for Experimental Social Sciences at New York University and conducted several experiments.
