Biography
Peter Murrell, Professor and Chair of the Economics Department, received his B.Sc. (Econ) and M.Sc. (Econ) from the London School of Economics and his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. His primary fields of interest are comparative economic institutions and transition economies. His current research interests include the determinants of institutional reform, the interaction between firms and institutions, the transition process, survey methods, professions, and self-regulation. He teaches comparative economic institutions.
