Biography
Christopher McKelvey, Assistant Professor, received his PhD in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2005 and joined the University of Maryland faculty that same year. His research interests include applied microeconomics, labor and demographic economics, development economics, and consumer behavior. His recent research has focused on the measurement of consumer responsiveness to price changes in developing countries. He is also involved in the Work and Iron Status Evaluation, an ongoing longitudinal survey evaluating the impact of a double-blind, randomly assigned iron supplement on health and productivity in Indonesia. He teaches in the area of development economics.
