Assistant Professor

Exempt Staff Positions

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager

CATEGORY: Exempt staff, 12 months, full-time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Department main office. The incumbent is responsible for the administration of department technology and facilities. The Assistant Manager implements academic course scheduling and related matters. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of three years' experience working in a higher education administrative or academic unit. A combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the degree.

PREFERENCES: A working knowledge of University computer systems (SIS, ELF, Priority, ProWeb) and University administrative offices (OIT, procurement, facilities). The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills, be able to learn quickly, provide excellent customer service, work independently and cooperatively, and be accurate and flexible.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Spend long hours sitting and using computers. Light lifting of materials, furniture and supplies. Some walking to take documents to departments on campus.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Starting salary mid $40s.
