From Baltimore and Points North

1. Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway (I-495)
2. Take Exit 27: "U.S. 1 South, College Park"
3. Proceed approximately two miles on U.S. Route 1 South
4. Turn onto Campus Drive, which is the main entrance to the University
5. Campus Drive will lead you to our "Big M" Traffic Circle
6. Proceed around the circle and continue on Campus Drive
7. Pass Adele Stamp Student Union
8. At the top of the hill, you will come to a fork in road
9. Make a slight LEFT on Preinkert Drive
10. Follow Preinkert Drive for about 1/4 mile to the bottom of the hill
11. You will be facing the Mowatt Lane Parking Garage
12. Turn LEFT. Proceed around first stop sign and make a RIGHT into the garage
13. After parking, walk back up Preinkert Drive until you see Parking Lot A on your RIGHT
14. Walk into Lot A, proceed up incline to MILLARD E. TYDINGS

From Virginia and Points South

1. Take I-66 East or I-270 South to Capital Beltway (I-495)
2. Go East on I-495 toward "Baltimore"
3. Take Exit 28B "650 South New Hampshire Avenue Tacoma Park"
4. Go South on New Hampshire Avenue, approximately 1/2 mile
5. At the second traffic light, turn LEFT onto Adelphi Road
6. Follow Adelphi Road and then turn LEFT onto Campus Drive
7. Proceed to the end of Campus Drive. There will be a stop sign
8. Make a RIGHT on Preinkert Drive
9. You will be facing the Mowatt Lane Parking Garage
10. Turn LEFT. Proceed around first stop sign and make a RIGHT into the garage
11. After parking, walk back up Preinkert Drive until you see Parking Lot A on your RIGHT
12. Walk into Lot A, proceed up incline to MILLARD E. TYDINGS

From Washington, DC

1. Take 16th St. North. 16th St. becomes Georgia Ave. North at Maryland/DC line
2. Go east on the Capital Beltway (I-495) toward "Baltimore"
3. Take Exit 28B "650 South New Hampshire Avenue Tacoma Park"
4. Go South on New Hampshire Avenue
5. Proceed approximately 1/2 mile
6. At the second traffic light, turn LEFT onto Adelphi Road
7. Follow Adelphi Road and then turn LEFT onto Campus Drive
8. Proceed to the end of Campus Drive. There will be a stop sign
9. Make a RIGHT on Preinkert Drive
10. You will be facing the Mowatt Lane Parking Garage
11. Turn LEFT, proceed around first stop sign and make a RIGHT into the garage
12. After parking, walk back up Preinkert Drive until you see Parking Lot A on your RIGHT
13. Walk into Lot A, proceed up incline to MILLARD E. TYDINGS
    

From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

30-45 minutes driving time, depending on traffic.

1. Follow signs for Airport exit. Take the ramp toward the George Washington Parkway, headed north.
2. Merge onto I-395 north headed toward Washington.
3. After 1.5 miles, merge onto I-295 (Southeast Freeway) from the left exit.
4. Take the Pennsylvania Ave. exit off the Southeast Freeway.
5. You will cross the John Philip Sousa Bridge and will need to get into the left lane when you see signs for 295 North.
6. Turn left onto the on-ramp for 295 North. This will become the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
7. After 9 miles, get off at the exit for the Capital Beltway, I-495 North/I-95 North towards Baltimore/College Park.
8. You will be on the Beltway for only one mile. Take exit 25, which is Baltimore Ave./US-1 south towards College Park.
9. The main entrance to campus (on Campus Drive) is on your right, approximately two miles south of the exit on Route 1.
10. Turn onto Campus Drive which is the main entrance to the University
11. Campus Drive will lead you to our "Big M" Traffic Circle
12. Proceed around the circle and continue on Campus Drive
13. Pass Adele Stamp Student Union
14. At the top of the hill, you will come to a fork in the road
15. Make a slight LEFT on Preinkert Drive
16. Follow Preinkert Drive for about 1/4 mile to the bottom of the hill
17. You will be facing the Mowatt Lane Parking Garage
18. Turn LEFT. Proceed to first stop sign and make a RIGHT into the garage
19. After parking, walk back up Preinkert Drive until you see Parking Lot A on your RIGHT
20. Walk into Lot A and proceed up incline to MILLARD E. TYDINGS

From Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI)

30-45 minutes driving time, depending on traffic.

1. As you leave the airport, look for signs to 295 South (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) heading toward Washington.
2. Travel on the Parkway until you see the exit for the Capital Beltway, I-495 North/I-95 North toward Baltimore/College Park.
3. You will be on the Beltway for only one mile. Take exit 25, which is Baltimore Ave./US-1 south towards College Park.
4. The main entrance to campus (on Campus Drive) is on your right, approximately two miles south of the exit on Route 1.
5. Turn onto Campus Drive which is the main entrance to the University
6. Campus Drive will lead you to our "Big M" Traffic Circle

From Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

1 hour, 15 minutes driving time, depending on traffic.

1. From the airport exit, take the Dulles Toll Road (267) east towards Washington.
2. Take the exit for I-495 (Capital Beltway) headed toward Baltimore.
3. Take exit 25, which is Baltimore Ave./US-1 south toward College Park.
4. The main entrance to campus (on Campus Drive) is on your right approximately two miles south of the exit on Route 1.
5. Turn onto Campus Drive which is the main entrance to the University
6. Campus Drive will lead you to our "Big M" Traffic Circle
7. Proceed around the circle and continue on Campus Drive
8. Pass Adele Stamp Student Union
9. At the top of the hill, you will come to a fork in road

Getting Around Via Public Transportation

The B30 Metrobus from BWI Airport to Greenbelt Metro Station costs only $3 per person for a one-way fare. It is quick, comfortable, and convenient and has extra space for passenger luggage. The first bus leaves BWI for Greenbelt at 7:00 a.m. on weekdays and 9:40 a.m. on weekends and holidays, and the last bus leaves BWI at 10:50 p.m. seven days a week. The trip to Greenbelt takes approximately 30 minutes. The College Park Metro Station is one stop from Greenbelt on the Metro's green line. Super Shuttle is a van service that offers transportation from area airports to locations in and around DC. You must reserve Super Shuttle in advance; to do so online, go to Super Shuttle or you may also call 1-800-BLUE-VAN (258-3826) toll-free for reservations.

Directions to Campus by Train Metrorail from Washington, DC

1. Take the red line train (toward Glenmont); transfer at the Fort Totten station to the green line train (toward Greenbelt); get off at the College Park/U of MD station. OR, take the green line train (toward Greenbelt); get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
2. The University's Shuttle-UM buses pick up University-bound passengers on the EAST side of the Metrorail station.
3. Get off the Shuttle-UM at Adele Stamp Union
4. Cross street, MILLARD E. TYDINGS will be facing you on the mall

MARC from Baltimore (Inner Harbor)

1. Take the Camden Line train (toward Washington, DC); get off at the College Park station.
2. The University's Shuttle-UM buses pick up University-bound passengers on the EAST side of the Metrorail station.
3. Get off the Shuttle-UM at Adele Stamp Union.
4. Cross street, MILLARD E. TYDINGS will be facing you on the mall.

MARC from Baltimore (Penn Station/West Baltimore/BWI Airport)

1. Take the Penn Line train (toward Washington, DC); get off at Union Station.
2. Transfer to the Metrorail system.
3. Take the red line train (toward Glenmont); transfer at the Fort Totten station to the Green Line train (toward Greenbelt); get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
4. The University's Shuttle-UM buses pick up University-bound passengers on the EAST side of the Metrorail station.
5. Get off the Shuttle-UM at Adele Stamp Union.
6. Cross street, MILLARD E. TYDINGS will be facing you on the mall.

To Washington, DC (Union Station): Transfer to Metrorail system. Follow directions above.
